Hematology is the branch of medicine concerned with diagnosis and monitoring of diseases of the blood and blood forming organs. Happy Tails has its own veterinary pathologists to provide the best investigative blood work for your pet.

Common hematologic diseases include:

  Thrombocytopenia, the deficiency of platelets or blood clotting cells.

  Hemoprotozoan

  Hemolytic anemia, excessive destruction of red blood cells.

  Immune mediated neutropenia, the excessive destruction of white blood cells.

  Myelodysplasia /Myeloproliferativedisorders i.e. abnormal bone marrow function.

Pathology

We provide both clinical and anatomic pathology which runs seven days a week, like the hospital. Our certified clinical pathologists aids treatment of clinical treatment of pets, with quick turnaround time for investigation of their conditions. Not only are our samples taken and processed on time, they also provide for immediate additional testing, allowing collaboration between veterinarians and the pathologists. This is necessary not while treating pets for critical conditions; but general investigation is also made easy providing comfort to clients and their pets.
